Research that matters
Welcome to Angus Reid Global. Canada’s most respected polling firm has brought together an impressive team of specialists and 21st century resources to serve the needs of clients as they navigate the changing and sometimes treacherous currents of public opinion. Now 100% Canadian owned, AR Global combines Canada’s leading polling brand with new leadership, new methods and strong commitment to go beyond the “what” of public opinion to the “why” and more importantly the “how”.
AR Global conducts research employing a combination of population-based polling, focus groups and custom online research communities. In this latter area, ARG maintains an ongoing partnership with Vision Critical – the world’s leading provider of insight community software.
AR Global operates separately from our non-profit organization, the Angus Reid Institute (www.angusreid.org). The Institute was launched last fall to support and foster a deeper, better understanding of the Canadian public opinion landscape, and to fill the growing gap between the need for high-quality, publicly available research data.
Through survey and focus group research, our expert team will work with you to proactively identify and resolve challenges your organization is currently facing, or are looming on the horizon. Our technology allows for real time polling and instant, ongoing access to public attitudes and perceptions.
What does your brand say to your communities and stakeholders? How have your actions shaped their opinions of you? Are you using the right images, and words to stand out in a crowded environment? Can you be doing better? Our qualitative and quantitative practitioners will answer these questions.
Member & donor relations
For clients in the not-for-profit space, we understand the unique motivations that drive your members and donors to engage with, be inspired by, and ultimately support your endeavours. Accurate member and donor feedback is critical to building strong organizations in a time of shrinking public resources and growing community needs.
Good communications strategy involves understanding what you want to say in a way best suited to reach your target audience. Are you using the right messages, or missing the mark? Is it time for a refresh? Our experience in verbal and visual message testing is unsurpassed, helping you understand not only what you should be saying, but how to say it too.
How do you ensure your initiatives aren’t overlapping? Is your strategy part of a broader context? Is it in line with your long-term goals? What are your stakeholders telling you? Our team will help you use research to ensure you’re not missing the big picture in all the details.

What’s in a name?
It can be confusing as three organizations bear the ‘Angus Reid’ name.
We have an affiliation with both of these organizations, but each is unique.
Angus Reid Global is Canada’s leader in public opinion research. We conduct research for strategic purposes on behalf of public facing organizations and government agencies .
By contrast, the Angus Reid Institute is a national, not-for-profit, non-partisan public opinion research organization established to enhance and encourage better understanding of issues and trends affecting economic, social, governance, philanthropy, public administration, domestic and foreign policy in Canada and its world. ARI activities are funded through an initial endowment from the Reid family and project-based funding provided by fellow not-for-profit organizations and selected partners in Canada. For more information on the ARI see: http://angusreid.org/
Angus Reid Forum is Canada’s leading online national research panel. With over 130,000 members the ARF panel provides and depth and diversity to monitor public opinion at a national and regional level. Angus Reid Forum is a Vision Critical division that we employ in our survey research.
